Responsibilities:

  • Assess manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests.
  • Coordinate with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Work with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards.
  • Provide guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts.
  • Participate in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products.
  • Gather manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements.
  • Investigate changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests.
  • Analyze, procure and oversee procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services.
  • Explore all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules.
  • Support the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications.
  • Participate in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products.
  • Review on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution.
  • Participate in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory.
  • Work under limited supervision.
  • Satisfy manufacturing requirements for non-production materials, tool and shop supplies.
  • Analyze products to ensure compliance to process requirements.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate solutions to meet manufacturing and process requirements.
  • Facilitate acquisition of authorized commodities to meet requirements.
  • Review inventory stock usage to ensure cost effective use of resources.
  • Satisfy requirements for non-production materials, portable tools (capital/expense), perishable tools, shop supplies in support of manufacturing by utilizing inventory management systems and processes.
  • Analyze products using industry specifications, procedures, engineering product definition and manufacturing processes ensuring compliance to process requirements.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate solutions to meet manufacturing and process requirements by analyzing manufacturing processes and requirements.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of commodities authorized by manufacturing using procurement systems and processes to satisfy manufacturing processes and requirements.
  • Review inventory stock usage to utilize resources cost effectively by following inventory management systems, methodologies and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree combined with 6 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education ande xperience; or Bachelors Degree combined with 4 + years of relevant work experience
  • Secret Clearance
  • Some Travel
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing test assets and/or calibrated equipment
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk
  • Experience using a computer based inventory management system
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    • Knowledge and use of Air Force Logistics Supply Systems, Publications and DOD Inventory Management procedures and regulations.
    • Knowledge of GFE (Government Furnished Equipment), GFP (Government Furnished Property) and Government inventory audit experience.
    • Knowledge and use of GOLD / GOLDesp Inventory Management System.
    • Experience supporting flight line maintenance, working to a sites Ground Operating Procedures (GOPs) manual and DCMA 8210.1C.
    • Experience communicating with internal and external customers.
    • Ability to organize and structure complex issues.
    • Computer usage expertise, including MSFT Office, for digital inventory, tool checkout, inspection / maintenance data entry, etc.
