Test Equipment Engineer

Test Equipment Engineer Primary Responsibility:

• Develop EIT/ESS test equipment for L-band RF/digital airborne avionic transponders.
• These responsibilities include development of test requirements (TRD), verification and validation plan and procedures (with and without LRU), code development and integration, and full documentation.
• Additional responsibilities include updating to Windows 7.0 PC operating system and associated drivers. Other responsibilities include introducing the test equipment/code into the factory environment, to include hands on training and associated documentation

• BS Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Must possess strong oral & written communication, organizational and analytical/problem solving skills
• Strong knowledge of engineering design standards for commercial aviation industry
• Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 12 years experience in Test Engineering
• A familiarity with L-band pulsed high power transmitters and receivers is a must
• Knowledge of NI Test Stand, LabWindows/CVI; IEEE488 GPIB controllers/drivers, environmental temperature chambers is a must
• Must have experience developing with C programming language
• Previous development experience with Pascal, C++, Visual Basic desired
• Previous development experience with ClearCase/ClearQuest is desired
• Previous experience with transponder software development desired
