Job Description SummaryThe ATC Machine Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the daily execution of assigned tasks and projects. This individual will be self-directed working within defined parameters and work plans to meet day-to-day and short-term objectives of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all preventative maintenance work on DMLM machines in accordance with GE specifications
  • Document all preventative maintenance work on DMLM machines in accordance with GE specifications
  • Track and manage DMLM machine maintenance activities to reduce downtime
  • Assist OEM vendors with the installation of new additive DMLM machines
  • Provide troubleshooting support for common machine faults
  • Act as a machine technical resource for DMLM technicians
  • Manage machine spare parts inventory
  • Must be willing to do shift work which may include second shift
  • Conduct experiments and inspections on assigned processes, working with engineers and leadership to develop and document process improvements
  • Take ownership for assignment lab areas including maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, environmental health and safety, and shop cleanliness
  • Follow technical plans to meet desired manufacturing objectives
  • Adhere to a detailed schedule for a complex engineering and / or manufacturing development work scope
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
  • Support preparation of invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks are consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Perform periodic maintenance and safety inspections
  • Meet quality system requirements for aerospace applications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
     
Desired Characteristics:
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering
  • Manufacturing experience in a process engineering environment
  • Experience in one or more of the following process technologies : direct laser melting equipment operation, general machine tool operation, hand benching, EDM wire, or quality inspection techniques
  • Experience with Laser systems and Laser diagnostic equipment
  • Basic proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience using statistical tools and concepts (Excel, Minitab, etc.)
  • Experience performing design of experiments and associated documentation
  • Experience in aerospace quality systems
  • Experience working a team-based environment
