Wanted:  Self Motivated Licensed Aircraft Technician! 

Angelo Precision Aircraft, LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Air Frame and Power Plant Technician) to join their team. The technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on various types of aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation maintenance, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

 Angelo Precision Aircraft was established in 1977 and has built a good reputation in the general aviation industry.  Through the years they have continued to grow and provided stable reliable employment opportunities for their employees.  They are one of the oldest Robinson Helicopter Service Centers in the world, maintaining over thirty for their customers, along with small airplanes like Piper, Cessna, and Beechcraft. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft as required by maintenance manuals, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on aircraft, their systems, components, and avionics equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance:  Perform preventative maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems, ensuring the continued airworthiness of the aircraft.
  • Modifications and Upgrades: Assist in the installation of modifications, upgrades, and enhancements to aircraft systems and avionics, adhering to engineering specifications.
  • Inspections:  Perform 100 hour/Annual Inspection on general aviation aircraft.
  • Minor and Major Repairs: When required, do repairs to general aviation aircraft that have been damaged.  These repairs could be minor or major.

Angelo Precision Aircraft is located in San Angelo, TX, which is in almost the center of Texas.  It is close to a three-hour drive to Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Austin.  Locally the area is perfect for anyone who is an outdoors man.  Within 5 miles of the city there is three lakes that produce good quality fishing and boating.  To the east is one of the best Trophy Bass lakes in the country today, OH Ivie.  For the hunters, Dove Hunting and Deer Hunting are very popular in the area.  San Angelo has good quality schools and offers the normal entertainment venues that middle sizes town/cities offer.  

Sign on Bonus available for qualified candidate:

Up to $3,000.00 sign on bonus is available to qualified candidates.  Angelo Precision Aircraft is currently expanding their operation and are in need of experienced licensed Airframe and Powerplant Technicians who have experience on small general aviation aircraft and piston powered engines.  Robinson Helicopter experience is also welcome experience.  Inspector Authorization is an additional experience that would benefit the candidate.  

Job Requirements:
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate is required.
  • Prior experience as an A&P Mechanic, preferably in a general aviation or aircraft maintenance facility.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with a thorough understanding of aircraft systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting safety best practices.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve bending, stooping, and lifting heavy equipment.
  • Inspector Authorization is a Plus
  • Robinson Helicopter Mechanical experience is a plus.
Salary Range: $27.00-$39.00
