Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Associate Structure Specialists (Level 2) to support the Emergent Operations Airplane Assist Shop Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina on weekend shift.

Successful candidates will be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas: factory floor, flight line, shop area, at heights and confined spaces. They will be a dynamic, self-motivated teammate.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements manufacturing processes

  • Provides concurrent engineering support

  • Defines production activities and resolves problems of limited scope

  • Reviews and approves technical documents

  • Analyzes charging trends and develops projected workforce forecast

  • Assists with the preparation and justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation

  • Leads projects and participates in technical research on proposed projects

  • Serves as primary contact with internal customers

  • Translates data into a practical plan for implementation within the organization

  • Compiles and provides management status reports for corrective/preventative action

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints

  • 3+ years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft manufacturing working with assembly processes and procedures

  • Ability to obtain Confined Space Certification

  • Ability to obtain Fall Protection

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience developing root cause corrective actions

  • Experience in Fabrication or Metal Lathe Operations

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years related work experience , 7 years related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
