specializes in the charter, management, maintenance, and sale of corporate
aircraft. Dumont Aviation’s robust fleet of twenty-five aircraft fly both
domestically and internationally.
Dumont
Aviation is currently seeking a full-time Chief Inspector for our Part 145
division who will be based in our New Castle, Delaware location. Direct reports
include 4 inspectors.
Job Requirements:
Primary
Responsibilities
·Make
final airworthiness determinations
·Maintaining
records of management, inspection, and supervisory personnel as required by 14
CFR part 145.161
·Coordinate
with the FSDO for activities that require approval or acceptance of the FAA,
such as changes to the operations specifications and the capability list
·Maintain
a continual improvement process for inspection procedures and methods to
improve the quality and economic efficiency of the maintenance process
·Establish
processes to ensure the airworthiness of all customer aircraft, components, and
parts approved for return to service
·Maintain
the recordkeeping system for reports and records required by 14 CFR parts
145.219 and 145.221
·Develop
policies and procedures that govern the development, revision, and distribution
of the Repair Station, Quality Control, Training, and Forms Manuals
·Ensure
all inspection personnel are trained, qualified, and authorized
·Responsible
for ensuring work away from base follows repair station procedures
·Determine
that all technical data on all articles maintained by the repair station is
secured and kept current with latest revisions
·Ascertain
that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is
approved for return to service
·Ensure
that the proper inspection and maintenance records, reports, and forms required
for a return to service release are properly executed
·Recommend
persons for repairman and certify that each recommendation is employed by the
repair station and meets the requirements of FAR 65.101, coordinating with the
FAA for maintaining and surrendering the certificates when needed
·Properly
execute FAA Form 337 when required
·See
that rejected and unserviceable parts are handles in such a way as to prevent
their reuse as serviceable parts
·Ensure
all articles, parts, supplies, and materials and properly identified and tagged
·Responsible
for standards and procedures for tool calibration
·Perform
other duties as required
Qualifications
·High School graduate or equivalent
required
·Bachelor degree preferred
·Must have an A&P License
·IA strongly preferred
·Minimum of 10 years of heavy
maintenance experience at an MRO and at least 8 years of quality assurance/inspection
experience
·After hours and weekend work
routinely required
·Excellent communications skills,
professionalism, and positive attitude
·Ability to work independently with
minimum direction
·Commitment to maintaining safe
working environment
·Ability to think critically, strategically,
and communicate effectively and efficiently
·This is a safety
sensitive position which requires pre-employment and random drug and alcohol
testing
