We're currently seeking a Director of Maintenance to join our team of A players and oversee our maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with FAA Part 135 regulations and upholding the highest standards of safety and reliability. 

Job Description: 

The Director of Maintenance is a key leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance. This position requires a deep understanding of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and repair, and leadership excellence. The successful candidate will ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with FAA Part 135 requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and high standards of safety and quality. 
  • Develop and implement maintenance policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and schedules to ensure timely and efficient maintenance operations. 
  • Experience with maintenance tracking and management software (CAMP and OEM engine and airframe programs etc.) is required.  
  • Coordinate with the operations department to schedule aircraft maintenance, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency. 
  • Oversee the maintenance budget, including procurement of parts and services, cost control, and financial reporting. 
  • Ensure accurate maintenance records are kept in compliance with FAA and company requirements. 
  • Manage relationships with external maintenance vendors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, FAA regulations, and technological advancements in aircraft maintenance. 
  • Lead investigations of any maintenance-related incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary. 
  • Participate in the strategic planning of the maintenance department, including fleet expansion and maintenance facility upgrades. 
Job Requirements:
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required, Inspection Authorization (IA) required within 12 months 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with 3 years of experience maintaining multi-engine aircraft, and at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. 
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA Part 135 regulations, with experience in a Part 119 management personnel position preferred. 
  • Thorough knowledge of Cessna series aircraft (preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a team. 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or related field preferred. 
  • This position is subject to drug and/or alcohol testing per the DOT/FAA requirements (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause/suspicion, post-accident).
