Job Description SummaryThis specialist role provides support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability targets. Service, diagnose and rectify faulty electrical and mechanical components – machinery & equipment.

Perform PLC,Robot I/O configuration, loading programs, diagnosing errors/faults, as well as Servo drive programming. Preventive maintenance of facilities, machines, and equipment on a day-to day basis.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Working with specialized equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC)  - Siemens, Omron Perform Robot I/O configuration, loading programs, diagnosing errors/faults, as well as Servo drive programming.

  • Set up an effective system of recording and monitoring of defects and breakdown reports in order to take remedy and immediate actions to minimize shut down times.

  • Develop & Implement Preventive, Corrective and Predictive Maintenance improvement framework to minimize maintenance, repair and replacement costs and abating the risk of critical equipment breakdown or interruption.

  • Ensure that the personnel working in this team has acquired the right skill, are given proper training and are up-dated with the latest method, procedures and requirements.

  • Support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability targets Lead emergency (unscheduled) repairs or first level troubleshooting of facilities critical equipment.

  • Plan and execute reliability improvement projects for critical equipment focused on new technology development, evaluation, and application to both existing and emerging risks.

  • Supervise external vendor maintenance and repair on critical equipment.

  • Provide feedback and give suggestions to improve equipment stability and performance.

  • Managing stock and supplies of critical equipment spare and replacement parts .

  • Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to high volume 24 hours/7 days manufacturing environment.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical / Electronics /Control System /Process Instrumentation & Control /other related disciplines.

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of working experience in the related fields with experience and knowledge in manufacturing / heavy operation and maintenance.

  • Knowledgeable in field instrumentation i.e; Process Control Instrumentation, Electrical Installation Works, PLC, SCADA system.

  • Possess good technical knowledge and understanding of pneumatic / electronic/ electrical instruments used in Manufacturing Industry.

  • Good knowledge in testing, installation, repairing, maintenance, and inspection of instrument equipment.

  • Willing to work in shift.
