Job Description:
Y-Tech Services, Inc. is seeking a Flight Mechanic.  The Flight Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that aircraft and their equipment if functioning safely and efficiently. They complete pre-flight and post flight inspection and perform duties in flight as required by the pilot in airspace surveillance, radio calls and other flight related duties. They service, repair and overhaul various aircraft components and systems including airframes, engines, electrical and hydraulic systems propellers, avionics equipment and aircraft instruments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain, repair and modify aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical componentsApply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and apply required expertise in restoring condition and operationSolve moderate to complex problems by interpreting knowledge of aircraft mechanical components troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement partsMaintain and / or repair aircraft sheet metal structures. Make modifications as necessaryApply thorough working knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheetsRead, interpret and relay information from technical publicationsRecord repairs, modifications and other tasks in required aircraft logs and maintenance recordsLead a team of mechanics and other personnel, when required, through more complete aircraft relevant tasksThe Flight Mechanic may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Job Requirements
High School Diploma / Equivalent or FAA A&P LicenseCompleted a military aircraft repairer school for one of the following aircraft H-60A/L/M.A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Army aviation maintenance,Greater than200 flight hours as a UH60 crew chief.Must hold a valid, current FAA or military Class III Medical Certificate, as prescribed by the Government.Reset or Depot experience is preferredMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance

Flight Hours
Flight Mechanic I – work is supervised
6 years aviation experience and 200 Flight Hours
Flight Mechanic II – works autonomously
8 years aviation experience and 500 Flight Hours
Flight Mechanic III – instructs other mechanics
12 years aviation experience and 1,000 Flight Hours
