LANDING GEAR TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for LANDING GEAR TECHNICIAN in MARANA/TUCSON, AZ.

Responsibilities:
As a Landing Gear Technician, you will be required to:

Ability to operate crane and hydraulic press.
Read and understand CMM and SOPM.
Assemble, test, and disassemble landing gears and its components.
Remove, install, and home bushings.
Sandblast and wash parts as required per CMM and SOPM.
With minimal supervision, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and tests core accessory components using hand tools, power tools, ground support equipment, test equipment and technical documents. Order parts needed to complete the work.
Researches, prepares, and signs off various documents, including updating work order status, for record keeping purposes as required by Duncan approved procedures, manufacturers&39; maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations with minimal supervision.
Provide accurate repair and overhaul information for creating estimates.
Perform dimensional inspections using various types of precision measuring equipment.
Rework damage and/or corrosion of parts within documented repair schemes, such as blending, sanding, polishing, etc.
Interprets technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
Complete all required maintenance records as stated in Ascent Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals.
Accurately record labor time worked on component work order.

SMS Requirements:

Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and SMS compliance.
Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries.
Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

3 – 5 years&39; experience in aviation landing gear repairs.
A&P License preferred.
Valid Driver&39;s License required.
Capable of performing full maintenance IAW CMM.
Experienced in hydraulics repairs.
Criminal Background Check & Complaint to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
Must be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ location as business needs dictate.

Shift Schedule Monday thru Friday - 7:00 AM till 3:30 PM

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands:
Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and balancing. Requires occasional reaching above shoulder level, kneeling or squatting. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weights up to 50 pounds unassisted. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated:
Ability to operate various test equipment for hydraulic, air, and electrical applications.
Work location:
Landing Gear Shop
Protective Equipment Required:
Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, safety harnesses, breathing equipment.
