Job Summary


The laser assembler will be responsible for material preparation, electro-mechanical assembly of laser sub assemblies, which may include: prep, optical, mechanical, harness, cable, and inspection, typically working to complete manufacturing orders, from models and/or drawings, within production.


Job Responsibilities



  • May perform soldering and installation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of tools and equipment

  • Interprets blueprints, process flow instructions and other written or verbal instructions

  • Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule, within budget and to SPC standard practices

  • Will be trained across all assembly stages, to support MFE/Engineering to build and or perform rework as per NC dispositions by interpreting print/specification and the ability to interpret/assemble all units in departments

  • When required, perform all aspects of inspection: in-process, final and source


Job Responsibilities Part II



  • Weekly maintenance of production lab protocol

  • Daily maintenance protocol of gowning area

  • Other duties as assigned


Our Ideal Candidate Will Have



  • Current JSTD-001 certificate

  • Experience handling, inspecting, and cleaning optics

  • Familiarity with ESD sensitive components


Job Requirements:
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty area e.g. welding, tool making

 

The expected pay scale for this position is $20/hr - $25.33/hr. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
