Boeing Canada Winnipeg is seeking Non-Destructive Testing Technician (NDT Tech), Working out of Winnipeg, Manitoba location on Murray Park Road. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with non-destructive inspection or test techniques and certification training.

This is a full time; permanent position and the selected candidate must be able to work on the Evening or Midnight shift, as assigned.

Determining Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct and perform a variety of nondestructive inspections and test of production and developmental processes and materials.

  • Perform nondestructive tests using specified procedures and techniques, and maintain test data as required.

  • Determine and interpret whether materials tested are within specified limits.

  • Perform equipment standardization checks, system performance checks and calibration checks, set up and operate any test equipment as required including through transmission ultrasonic equipment and radiographic equipment.

  • Perform nondestructive test such as ultrasonic, radiographic, eddy current, liquid penetrant, borescope etc. as required. Perform nondestructive test of any materials submitted to the group such as various plastics, metals, laminates, composite bonding, composite honeycomb structures, etc., for conformance to specifications and quality requirements. Instruct assigned lower classified employees in conducting nondestructive inspections and tests.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Winnipeg, Manitoba location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Physical ability to stand for duration of a shift; able to lift, carry, move and manipulate a large volume (approx. 30 lbs.)and variety of parts

  • Successfully completed a 2-year technical diploma through a CGSB Authorized Training Organization by June 2024 or Successfully completed all required CGSB Level 2 Written and Practical examinations in UT (Ultrasonic) and able to receive CGSB certificate within a required timeframe

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods

  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience in Non-destructive Testing (NDT) or Non-destructive Inspection (NDI)

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

  • Current CGSB Level 2 Certification in UT (Ultrasonic)

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Salary Range:

$35.15 - $50.90 + Cost of Living Allowance + Shift Premium

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.

Must attend and successfully complete a functional capacity assessment based on the physical demands of the job functions.
