Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs auditing function for all EAMS processes/procedures throughout the facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary

  • Audits contract maintenance providers Quality Management Systems.
  • Performs internal audits of EAMS.
  • Coordinates with all external auditors performing quality audits of EAMS.
  • Communicates audit schedule for internal / external audits.
  • Assists Manager Quality Assurance with creating audit checklists.
  • Generate, distribute, and file Corrective Action Reports.
  • Conducts follow-up audits of Corrective Action Plans.
  • Maintains schedule of internal audits.
  • Translator for foreign certificating authorities’ documents.
  • Maintains list of approved vendors.

Secondary

  • Develops quality metrics and provides quality reports as requested.
  • Provides guidance to management staff in completing corrective action plans.
  • Manages EAMS Quality email.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

  • A&P Certificate - Preferred
  • High School Diploma required, A.S. / B.S. Degree in Aviation preferred

Experience:

  • Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 / C.A.S.E.-1A preferred
  • Prefer three years’ experience as an aircraft inspector or auditor
  • Practical experience with quality audit procedures (may be met by formal auditor training, prior experience as an auditor, or a minimum of 40 hours auditor experience with documented On-the-Job Training (OJT) by a qualified auditor).

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of safety and operating procedures while working around aircraft and while working around component maintenance shops.
  • Knowledgeable of the following applicable regulations: FAA; NFPA; OSHA.
  • Ability to understand company SOP’s and customer GMM’s.
  • Spanish Speaking - Preferred
