Canadian Helicopters has an opening for a Safety & Quality Assurance Inspector position at the Les Cèdres main base (Montreal) or in Edmonton. This position reports to Safety & Quality Assurance Manager.

Job Description

  • Performance of through internal audit ensuring Company compliance with Civil Aviation regulations and standards, as well as Client requirements
  • This position will require some travel, in order to carry out audits, and occasionally represent Safety & Quality Department during external visits/audits

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, innovative and solutions-oriented individual and possess the following minimum qualifications and competencies:

  • At least a community college diploma or equivalent
  • Integrity – acting in an impartial and fair manner, free of bias
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in aviation industry
  • Be capable of generating presentable written communications (for internal & external use)
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Sound computer skills, be familiar with the fundamentals of MS Office programs
  • Be capable of fast learning, and having an open mind towards changing industry realities
  • Familiarity with the principles of Safety Management System (SMS) is a welcome asset
  • Sound knowledge of CARs and Company Maintenance Procedures & Policies is a strong asset
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work efficiently in isolation with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing commitments simultaneously
