Job Description SummarySeveral safety duties will be expected to be performed in this role including, but not limited to, learning and being able to update both Action Tracking System and Compliance Calendar items in GE Aerospace’s Gensuite tool. Reporting near misses, hazardous waste production tallies, and uploading training documents will also be part of the routine duties, as well as uploading revised safety programs as/when needed. Training for all these functions will be provided and all necessary certifications and licensing will be made available.

Job Description

  • Job responsibilities require both independent, self-directed efforts, as well as team efforts working together with engineers & other technicians. 
  • Works closely with our engineering and technical team to build prototype systems, test apparatus, and run tests. 
  • Responsible for supporting the building, operation, and maintenance of test facilities and equipment. 
  • Applications for our development efforts include advanced aircraft and propulsion systems, sensing and control systems, as well as energy conversion systems.
  • Will be expected to have the ability to support the testing engineers and to assist in building mechanical and fluid systems with knowledge of machine parts, electronics wiring, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, actuators, drive motors, and control systems. 
  • Will work with high pressure systems, diesel engines, and high-flow rate compressors.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the Innoveering buildings, facilities, and equipment including compressors, pumps, power supplies, custom built lab equipment, and associated hardware. 
  • The job will require moderate lifting of hardware up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and forklift operation. 
  • General housekeeping duties will also be expected.  Including, but not limited to, the arrangement of tools and equipment, organization of storage areas, and overall lab cleanliness, such as sweeping and mopping your general work areas.  Additionally, specialized cleaning of parts and equipment shall also be performed as required, such as the cleaning of parts for service in oxygen rich environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 15 years of related experience

The pay for this position is $55 to $62 per hour.  This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan This posting is expected to close on April 30, 2024
