The Position

As an FAA Certified 145 Repair Station, Hillsboro Aviation supports comprehensive maintenance and avionics needs. From privately owned airplanes and helicopters to corporate fleet management, we serve private, commercial, and government interests. Our full-service location supports avionics, unscheduled and scheduled services, heavy maintenance, and AOG emergencies. Our factory-trained mechanics and avionics technicians boast an average of over 20 years of experience.

As a Turbine A&P Aircraft Maintenance Technician you will work closely with the Service Center team to provide maintenance support for turbine powered aircraft. You will report to the Service Center Manager and will be responsible for the following, including but not limited to:

  • Supporting the Service Center Manager in execution of responsibilities as defined in Hillsboro Aviation’s Repair Station Manual (RSM).
  • Maintaining high quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Performing Inspection, Repair, and Preventative Maintenance as authorized by manufacture publications. 

Ideal candidates are able to work independently within his/her areas of responsibilities under limited supervision, value a strong work ethic and optimistic attitude, maintain a critical eye for detail and organization, and are excited to represent Hillsboro Aviation in front of key customers, including foreign governments, community leaders, and business partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Service Center Manager in execution of responsibilities as defined in Hillsboro Aviation’s Repair Station Manual (RSM). 
  • Maintaining high quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Performing Inspection, Repair, and Preventative Maintenance as authorized by manufacture publications. 
  • Maintaining production requirements, process adherence, open communication, team spirit, and clean work environment. 
  • Daily use of CAMP and other tracking software as well as company work process software.

Required Skills/Experience

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification with 5 years’ experience required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to work long hours in all types of weather and environments.
  • Must be able to observe visually the work performed by others and ensure it meets standards.
