Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for an A220 Aircraft Manager OSS l to join our  Team based in Mobile, AL. 

The ideal candidate is responsible for folio management of any assigned aircraft during the production and flight test phase of the assembly process until Handover to the delivery center is complete. The selected candidates will be responsible to analyze and steer all new issues found during the assembly process (non-conformities, customer findings, flightline issues, etc.). They will also be required to identify critical points, initiate action plans, and complete follow-ups until closure of issues.

Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:

  • Document, follow, organize and manage all non-conformities throughout the flowline/flightline process. Drive closure of issues in collaboration with all relevant parties to ensure production milestones are met.

  • Ensures that all work with On-Site Suppliers is performed and status communication is provided to all stations. 

  • Prepare and conduct FAL Operational Team (FOT) meeting, ensuring on-time closure of all folio points and non-conformities. Monitor all open points regarding the status of aircraft. Work closely with MFT members to close all open Folio items and if needed liaise with Engineering for Folio endorsements.

  • Prepare Aircraft Documentation for the Internal Quality Gates and lead meetings to ensure aircraft status is known by the receiving station. In the event of a red quality gate, ensure actions are taken and completed according to the plan given.

  • Responsible for aircraft issue follow-up addressing progress in a proactive manner, anticipating issues, and driving resolution to avoid production risks.

  • Responsible for Working Party planning when necessary to solve major issues on aircraft.

  • Perform inflow analysis (e.g. Non Conformities, BOI, work orders, QLB, TLB...) and new points&39; distribution.

  • Record information in Chronos and define daily priorities with the Station Supervisors.

  • Generate the daily MSN Report (folio point&39;s analysis) and highlight priority topics.

  • Guarantees that all information in Chronos concerning the FAL are in accordance with the physical state of the subject aircraft.

  • Cooperate in national/international projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your boarding pass:

  • Required: A Bachelor&39;s degree in Business Administration or a related field. In lieu of degree, training as a technician in a technical field related to aviation manufacturing.

  • Required: 3 or more years&39; of working experience in aviation related fields or equivalent experience in manufacturing planning or manufacturing project management.

  • Preferred: 1 year of working experience in a leading role.
