Join the Lockheed Martin team to supervise all aspects of the weapons load activities at our Patuxent River, Maryland facility! Responsibilities include:

F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Weapons Supervisor assigned to NAS Patuxent River’s F-35 Integrated Test Force (ITF). Provides full spectrum leadership to the ITF’s Flight Test Maintenance department represented personnel deployed to NAS Patuxent River. Specifically, direction to Weapons/Ordnance personnel.

Provides close coordination directly with the ITF’s Maintenance Managers for all maintenance activities associated with the leadership and management of personnel and resources. Specifically, this includes providing weapons technical direction, personnel actions such as performance recognition, employee recruitment, staffing, and disciplinary actions for hourly personnel.

• Maintain load crew certifications records and ensure load crew remain current on the weapons being loaded.

• Serve as the chairperson for the Ordnance Certification Board. Perform General services, repairs, and inspection on the assigned Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Alternate Mission Equipment (AME).

• Supervise the load certification crew. Serve as the POC for the Station Ordnance Officer.

• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Selected candidate will be integral to test planning and coordination with Test Operations, Flight Operations, Air Vehicle Engineering, Logistics, Safety, Quality & Mission Success, GFR/Aviation Performance Team and NAS Patuxent River base agencies. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have or be able to obtain at minimum an Interim Secret Clearance.

A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Aeroafs
Basic Qualifications:
1. Must possess at least 7 years aircraft Ordnance/Weapons Supervisory experience. Experience with Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) and Stores and Release Equipment (SRE). Experience in fighter aircraft weapons loading and handling processes and procedures.

2. Must have been previously awarded an Air Force, Marine, or Navy 7 to 9 level discipline skill level rating or possess equivalent civilian experience with associated credentials

3. Multi-system aircraft trained and certified with ability to work in a fast paced flexible environment

4. Experienced user of Microsoft Office software

5. Working Knowledge of such programs as Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training, FOD, Security, Supply Chain Management, or Time Accounting

6. Experience supervising multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrated workforce environment.

7. Must have experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints and interpret/translate instructions to mechanics/technicians

8. Must have experience developing work schedules for employees

3. Experience performing in a role of task trainer certifier.

4. Quality Assurance experience

5. Experience managing in a Union environment

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
