The jobholder is fully accountable for the End2End program Quality activities of the India C295 Program executed in India, and the orchestration and integration of the Airbus India Quality team towards the overall programme deliverables execution. The scope of the activities executed in India are:

- Make in India Programme: Quality legal framework Airbus DS SAU and Airbus India PVT, Government Quality Assurance and Production Airworthiness framework in India,  Industrialization, training, production and deliveries in India.

- Return of experience of Make in India to Series

- Quality In Service Support. Quality Customer Irritants flow down to Series.

- Offset.

Within beforehand scope, this position holds the full accountability of the End2End program/ Product Life Cycle Quality objectives, Quality policy, Quality performance, Quality Assurance and Product Quality Attestation activities. As well as coordinating the complete Quality network, ensuring the adequate resources are in place, internal and external (India Industrial Partner).

The job holder is accountable of the Quality Interface and Quality Satisfaction of the Final Customer and Authorities in India(IAF & DGAQA) in all programs phases: New strategies definition, Contract Award, Contract Review, Definition, Development, Certification, Design reviews, Outsourcing, Industrialization, Production, Internal deliveries, Final Delivery, in Service and offsets. 

The jobholder, as part of the Program Organization, will have the following missions, responsibilities and main activities for the Quality activities carried out in India, including the responsibilities related to the team members reporting to the position.

Key Deliverables:

  • The jobholder will deliver the E2E program Quality requirements properly defined, flow down and coordinated within the overall Quality and program organizations (Design, Procurement, Operations, Services), securing the correct translation into the Quality Plans and key programs Plans such Manufacturing, IT, Configuration plans. Contributing to the program OQOTOC objectives.

  • The jobholder will deliver the deployment of all the Quality processes interfacing with India Industrial Partner, not only from a procedural but also from an IT point of view. Covering the E2E value chain of the program (Attestation of Conformity, NC management, QSR, QLB, TLB, Concessions, etc…)

  • The jobholder will assure Industrialization Quality requirements prior transfer of the complete Industrial setup to the India Industrial Partner.

  • The jobholder will deliver the APQP strategy to be implemented for contributing to the Cost-of-on-Quality Estimate at Completion variance targets and for the overall risks mitigation of the program.

  • The jobholder will deliver a trustful and reliable link with Indian Customer and Indian Authorities for Quality matters.

  • The jobholder will be the Quality reference and key enabler of the complete Quality organization, as well as for the overall Program team, as a key lever for the programs objectives and Customer Satisfaction.

  • Leading the program Quality improvement plans to continuously enhance the overall Program profitability.
     

  • Leading and orchestrating the whole Airbus India Quality team, securing recruitment, training, induction and delivery of team members as per the objectives set by the program 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Quality Requirements in contractual framework

    • Identify and deploy Quality requirements to be applied to the program. Quality legal frame between Airbus DS SAU and Airbus India Pvt Ltd.

    • Identify potential impacts in the Quality Management System. Including Configuration Control and Conformity work frame.

    • Define and coordinate Quality requirements with the flooding down of different Quality organizations.

    • Define and assess impacts of airworthiness scenarios. Negotiations with Indian authorities.

    • Define and assess impacts of Government/Official Quality Assurance scenarios. Negotiations with Indian authorities.

    • Coordination of Quality inputs for Business case.

    • Quality inputs for edition of program documentation (program Management Plans, ..).

    • Accountable for the program Quality Management plan.

  • Quality Planning

    • Definition and coordination of Quality Goals for the Project. Including Customer Satisfaction goals.

    • Definition and coordination of Quality Planning for the Project.

    • Flow-down of Quality requirements and goals to suppliers (or coordination).

    • Continuous improvement of Quality Processes, Quality awareness and support to program managers.

    • APQP deployment planning.

    • Coordination of Suppliers Quality Plans.
       

  • Quality Work Package management

    • Quality WP budget negotiation and management (with programs and with Quality areas).

    • Definition, coordination and management of Quality Risks and opportunities.

    • Integration of Quality Lessons learnt from previous experiences.

    • Definition and reporting of Quality KPIs for WP.

    • APQP and Core tool strategy definition and deployment.

    • E2E Maturity Gates and Quality Gates strategy, definition and management. 

  • Team Management

    • Definition of Workload requirements, Job Descriptions, Recruitment as per agreed positions.

    • Training, definition of the qualification plan and induction of the team members in Quality Team.

    • Definition of Team objectives according to the Company objectives, and Program objectives.

    • Management of the Team in line with the Company rules, ensuring adherence to processes and budget guidelines.

    • Development of individuals together with experts and key stakeholders, so as to develop a state-of-the-art pool of experts for a flagship program such as the C295 Program in India

  • Voice of Customer & Authorities

    • Chairing the Quality Assurance Working Group with the Customer.

    • Act as reference focal point for Quality matters in front of Customer and Authorities.

    • Provide feedback for Voice of Customer and Authorities.

    • Coordinating and executing the Government Quality Assurance Activities set in the Common Quality Assurance plan agreed with Indian Authorities and Indian Air Force.
