COMSEC ACCOUNT MANAGER

The COMSEC Account Manager will be responsible for the programmatic and daily tactical management of classified communication articles at a variety of classification levels. We are looking for a subject matter expert that will ensure compliance with our government partners standards in regards to the processes for receipt, custody, transfer, safeguarding, accounting, and destruction/disposition of COMSEC material. As part of the Government Security Programs Team, you will be expected to wholly own problem sets, develop solutions, and safeguard the communications security material across multiple accounts. This is a high impact position and our ideal candidate will flourish in a challenging environment with a high degree of personal accountability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on communications security and government compliance for a range of classification levels including collateral, SCI and SAP
  • Work with program managers to develop and implement important processes based on security policies to ensure compliance
  • Maintain accountability of all COMSEC assets for assigned COMSEC accounts
  • Maintain, in collaboration with program personnel, up to date keying records and COMSEC Requirements Letters for associated cryptonets
  • Develop and host security education and training regarding program security procedures including COMSEC security procedures
  • Assist in the development of COMSEC documentation, including but not limited to, SKMPs, COMSEC Plans, and Transportation Plans
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for technical staff for questions on process, timeline, status of assets, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with government requirements and regulations
  • Day-to-day support specific to internal programs and stakeholders
  • Configuration of ECUs, to include installation, keying/rekeying, administration, and troubleshooting
Job Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 7+ years of security experience related to COMSEC and compliance such as maintaining records and files, reporting security incidents, providing periodic status reports regarding COMSEC material, etc.
  • Knowledge of DIAS, iApp, or other electronic management system
  • 3+ years of experience as a COMSEC Manager supporting DoD, SAP or IC accounts
  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems/IT, mathematics, physics, or similar technical discipline.
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively interact with industry partners.
  • Demonstrated technical project management skills.
  • Deep familiarity with COMSEC requirements and procedures including the acquisition, maintenance, operation, and disposition of related equipment.
  • Experience with security policy and guiding documentation specific to COMSEC-related compliance.
  • IAEC-2112 or NRO CRO Training
  • Completed the TRADOC-approved Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) course and the COMSEC Account Manager Course (CAMC)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • An active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions. If so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to travel in support of programmatic requirements to other SpaceX locations or customer sites.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

COMSEC Account Manager: $125,000.00 - $180,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
