Within CAE Defense & Security International,u202Fthe Project Management Team delivers solutions across multi-domain operations (air, land, maritime, space and cyber) with our regional operational partners. This is a hybrid position based in Montreal. Reporting to the Portfolio Leader, the Project Manager delivers complex solutions in over 60+ countries, collaborating with governments and customers to brings the full extent of CAEu2019s capabilities and solutions to their local markets.

In this role, the Project Manager will be expected to:

u00B7 Autonomously manages the execution of one or multiple projects, from start to finishu202F

u00B7 Manage the financial and operational resources necessary to meet contractual obligations of the project to ensure profitability

u00B7 Develop and execute the project management plan for complex projects

u00B7 Provide day-to-day leadership for matrix team members

u00B7 Participate in proposal writing for project management aspects

Responsibilitiesu202Fwill include, but are not limited to:

u00B7 Direct multiple projects, simultaneously involving a variety of resourcing, scheduling, subcontracting and other project management activities

u00B7 Apply organizational project management practices and policies, processes, and procedures in managing projects. Shares best practices with colleagues.

u00B7 Participate in the negotiation of subcontract terms and workshare agreements

u00B7 Resolve project work/schedule issues by reprioritizing activities

u00B7 Act as primary liaison with customer on project matters including negotiations and securing customer acceptance

u00B7 Manage relationships, communications and negotiations with customers and stakeholders (internal/external) and be the voice of customer.

u00B7 Support technical, cost and schedule aspects of proposals

u00B7 Implement project work breakdown structure

u00B7 Develop opportunities for contract amendments to extend project scope, solve scope/financial issues, or improve financial returns by reducing costs

u00B7 Participate in various organizational initiatives based on your career interests

u202FOur ideal candidate has:

u00B7 University undergraduate degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science, or related field of study). u202FNon-technical university undergraduate degree may be considered

u00B7 Minimum of eight (8) years of high technology experience, including at least four years as Project Manager.

u00B7 Meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements

u00B7 PMP certification, or obtained within twelve months of hiring

u00B7 Flexibility to work with different time zones, when applicable

u00B7 Willing to travel internationally on a regular basis (25).
