The role:

Europe and Africa Business Manager

Responsible for driving revenue performance, strategy, compliance, and business change within the commercial directorate.

What you’ll do:

  • Delivery of business plan QNNR targets to contribute to IAGC financial plan targets (approx. €260mil per annum)
  • Project management and support of commercial change projects across the region, namely Supplier tenders. Responsible for the full E2E process from tender to implementation of the new supplier.
  • Ability to create and articulate business cases to obtain successful endorsement of senior management including calculation of costs / benefits obtaining approval form finance.
  • Responsible for the management of suppliers (i.e., GSAs) across the region including performance reviews, compliance, management of action logs and commission payment calculations / processing.
  • Administer Sales Incentive across the region responsible for target setting, tracking of performance vs target, calculation, and presentation of exceptions.
  • Lead Monthly Business Reviews alongside Regional Commercial Manager, presenting monthly financial reporting and any key causals to Business Change Manager.
  • Commercial lead for key working groups and projects relating to other parts of the business
  • Line management of the Africa Business manager, working collaboratively with cross regional activities and personal development support.

What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:

  • Very strong influencing and networking skills with key stakeholders driving difficult decisions and managing complex relationships
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to deliver difficult messages.
  • Able to lead and deliver change
  • Strong analytical skills including planning and budgeting.

Your experience:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a commercial / financial role
  • Evidence of identification of areas of improvement and provision of creative solutions to benefit the customer
  • Track record of delivering sustainable and significant change and reducing complexity
  • Evidence of use of data to drive commercial decision-making
