Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking First-Line Flightline Operations Managers (Level K) to support 747-767-777 Program operations in Everett, Washington on 3rd shift (typically 11:00pm - 6:00am).

A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Ensure that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.

  • Interface with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.

  • Develop and execute project and process plans; implement policies and procedures; set operational goals.

  • Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment.

  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role.

  • 1+ years of flightline operations experience.

  • Currently holds an FAA Airframe (A) or an FAA Powerplant (P) license.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with live customers.

  • Experience managing IAM hourly employees.

  • Experience with any of the following: avionics, troubleshooting capabilities, functional test knowledge, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures.

  • Proficiency using CMES software.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) random drug and alcohol testing.

Summary pay range: $127,300 - $147,400
