The Boeing Company has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Human Resource (HR) Manager to join the Space Missions HR team in El Segundo, CA.

This role will serve as the senior business partner and consultant for the Manufacturing organization, and the El Segundo Manufacturing Leadership team on all matters related to talent and people. The successful candidate will have a strong background in labor relations, and employee engagement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides effective consultative skills and data-driven solutions to the Manufacturing, and El Segundo Quality teams

  • Partners with leaders and HR team to integrate functional, human resource and organizational change management strategies, and action plans to improve operational effectiveness, leadership, workforce planning, engagement, talent acquisition, affordability, skill elevation, and stability

  • Uses business knowledge to make recommendations and proposals on key program and functional strategies, develops long and short-term strategies involving policies (e.g., Diversity, Employee Engagement and Functional Excellence), and embeds people plans in the operating rhythm of the function

  • Accounts for the quality and delivery of HR products and services by engaging other HR resources as appropriate; influences process improvement by working with others; utilizes conflict resolution techniques, and makes the necessary changes to mitigate risk and ensure employee perspectives are considered

  • Coaches all employee levels on behaviors and techniques to achieve leadership excellence and a positive culture

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience communicating and implementing HR programs, policies, practices and processes

  • 5+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders, working across functions

  • 5+ years of experience executing strategies and/ or managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement

  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role

  • 1+ years of experience partnering with leadership to design and implement workforce strategies to meet organization objectives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working with HR Labor and/or Employment related laws, policies and procedures, in particular the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)

  • 5+ years of experience working with union contracts

  • Active security clearance

  • Human Resources certification

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $116,450 – $157,550
