Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in all GE initiatives including EHS, HR, Six Sigma, Quality, and computerized maintenance management.
  • Provide maintenance technicians with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations. Infrequently assist with maintenance repairs.
  • Utilize the CMMS (Maximo) to manage work order execution, ensuring all system data is updated, accurate, and compliant.
  • Conduct routine performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner. Act as advocate for team members.
  • Assist in hiring maintenance department staff.
  • Develop and implement solutions for technical/maintenance issues and training technicians. Create maintenance Standard Work Procedures as needed.
  • Ensure Preventative and Correct Maintenance work is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Lead and motivate others to achieve safety, personal and departmental goals. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Maintain the personal development and HR administrative duties for direct reports.
  • Utilize department KPI’s to assess the team’s effectiveness of maintenance and reliability activities.
  • Support capital project work to safe completion through PESR, Checkout, Commissioning, Loops Checks, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in PSM Industrial Maintenance)
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience

  • Understanding of Industrial Maintenance Management best practices.
  • Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose maintenance issues and coordinate repairs.
