Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in ETOPS (Extended-Range Twin-Engine Operational Performance Standards) to join our team to oversee the ETOPS program and daily flight operations from a maintenance and technical perspective. This role is essential in making sure our strict policy and procedures are being followed along with ensuring the highest level of safety and efficiency in our extended – range operations. The individual will report to the Director of Maintenance Operations and Liaise with Quality and regulatory authorities in matters pertaining to ETOPS maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the maintenance activities related to the ETOPS program
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiencies and reliability
  • Collaborate with flight operations, dispatch, engineering and maintenance teams for organizational effectiveness
  • Monitor and analyze flight operations data to identify trends and areas for improvement in ETOPS maintenance practices
  • Prepare and present reports on ETOPS maintenance and performance to senior management
  • Conduct self-audits of ETOPS policy and procedures for continuous improvement and compliance
  • Lead and manage maintenance professionals by providing guidance, training and support
  • Participate in project management, business analysis, research methods and competitive analysis
  • Develop materials to support current and future programs (i.e., dashboards, communications, workflows, presentations, etc.)
  • Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement   
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • Five (5) years of related 121 airline experience
  • Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Experience in airline maintenance with knowledge of aviation regulations and standards related to ETOPS
  • Leadership and team management with strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Diverse experience in all aspects of technical operations and able to work under pressure in a fast dynamic environment
  • Available for overnight travel (10%)
  • Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Valid travel documents with the ability to travel unrestricted in and out of the United States
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Passionate about innovation, the airline industry, and JetBlue
  • Project Management experience
  • Software and programming experience

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation: 

  • The base pay range for this position is between $110,000.00 and $150,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
