Position Title: Manager Workplace Technology (LSC, OSC, SSC)

 

Position Summary

The Manager of Workplace Technology has expertise in a broad range of technologies critical to enhancing the employee experience and deep knowledge in end-user computing, OS imaging, Citrix, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), enterprise storage solutions, vulnerability management, Microsoft Suites, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and the Microsoft Copilot Suite. The Manager leads the charge in deploying, managing, and optimizing these technologies to foster a secure, efficient, and innovative workplace environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support JetBlue’s infrastructure platforms and systems to ensure the highest availability while reducing the impact of incidents
  • Conduct in depth evaluations, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of complex technical issues
  • Implementation Lead for complex systems including the advisement of clients and providing work guidance to implementation team
  • Develop server procedures regarding design and implementation of hardware, software, and systems
  • End-User Computing & OS Imaging: Spearhead the development and maintenance of robust end-user computing strategies, including comprehensive OS imaging processes to ensure a seamless and efficient user setup and deployment
  • Citrix & VDI: Oversee the deployment and management of Citrix and VDI environments, enhancing remote access capabilities and ensuring high availability for all users
  • Microsoft Intune & VMware Workspace ONE: Implement and manage mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) policies using Microsoft Intune and VMware Workspace ONE to secure and streamline device and application usage across the organization
  • SFTP & Enterprise Storage Solutions: Manage secure file transfer protocols and enterprise storage infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, availability, and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Vulnerability Management: Lead a comprehensive vulnerability management program, identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities to maintain a strong security posture
  • Microsoft Suites: Administer and optimize the use of Microsoft Suites, ensuring that productivity tools are effectively deployed, managed, and utilized to enhance collaboration and efficiency
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Develop and enforce IAM policies and procedures to ensure appropriate access control mechanisms are in place, safeguarding against unauthorized access while facilitating user productivity
  • Microsoft Copilot Suite: Drive the adoption and effective use of the Microsoft Copilot Suite, leveraging AI and machine learning to enhance productivity, creativity, and decision-making across the organization.
  • Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, goal achievement
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in IT, with a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership role specifically managing workplace technology environments
  • Proven expertise in the technologies listed above, with specific experience in deploying and managing these solutions in a complex organizational setting
  • Strong foundation in IT security principles, particularly in vulnerability management and securing end-user computing environments
  • Demonstrated project management skills, capable of leading technology initiatives from conception through to successful implementation
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Available for overnight travel (up to 10%) 
  • Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice
  • Provide twenty four (24) hour, seven (7) day a week on-call support at scheduled times; and be able to be contacted through a business cell phone or provide an alternate phone contact at all times
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least seven (7) years of experience in IT, with a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership role specifically managing workplace technology environments
  • Eight (8) years of experience in production operations environment
  • Five (5) years of experience in server and datacenter technologies
  • Server and application deployment via automation and configuration management tools 
  • Supporting mission critical application environments
  • Managing applications that reside in hosted datacenter environments
  • Supporting applications that run on Linux and or related OS type
  • Advanced technical knowledge and hands-on experience with the specified technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on developing team capabilities

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System
  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls 
  • Upholding JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation: 

  • The base pay range for this position is between $118,800.00 and $177,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
