Description:The Avionics Product Center is responsible for the delivery of electrical instrumentation and wire harnesses to all Final Assembly locations. With more than 220 employees, the Avionics team is currently looking for a detail-oriented, technical individual with experience in avionics to fill the Supervisor position.
This person will be responsible for overseeing a team of hourly operators in one or multiple business units within the Avionics Product Center in Stratford, CT.

Other Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Directly supervise the assembly, testing, and control of in-process and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards, applicable government regulations and contract requirements. Assist in development and management of budget, staffing, training, development, managing business/operations results, and procurement of capital equipment Participate in regular meetings to discuss the status of the business with management representatives
Lead daily meetings with employees to flow down company objectives and to communicate the status of the business to the work force.
Ensure a safe working environment for employees by performing Environmental, Health and Safety audits of the work area and enforcing the safety standards are maintained. Promote an ethics-based business culture in the organization.
Encourage employee involvement and recognize employee suggestions and ideas to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to understand procedures, work instructions and specifications, and apply this knowledge in day to day activities;
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS office applications with the ability to learn new programs that may be job specific;
Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings;
Maintain knowledge of all processes, materials, and equipment used;
Ability to work in customer-focused environment, maintaining effective communication with internal/external customers, including DCMA
Desired Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing environment;
Experience working with represented hourly labor force;
Experience with SAP;
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, either ISO 9001 or AS9100;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
