A vacancy for a Material Support Manager has arisen within Airbus Customer Services and its subsidiary SATAIR in Copenhagen at the earliest possible start date. You will join the Material Support team, an integral part of the Customer Care team within the commercial organization.  

What the job is… 

Your main responsibilities would be to ensure regional customer satisfaction by being a business enabler, that includes providing autonomous support in resolving customer escalations, by identifying appropriate stakeholders that are involved in the network and offering individual solutions that support customers’ material & logistics requirements. 

Working closely with multiple cross-functional teams, you will help to discover customer irritants, gather customer feedbacks during customer visits as well as through other customer facing teams, that supports you to contribute and manage the regional action plans as well as be a part of driving various initiatives to support the overall  Customer Satisfaction Improvement Program (CSIP). 

You are a part of the team that offers invaluable material support to our customers from various sites across the globe - China (Beijing), Singapore, Dubai, Germany (Hamburg), Denmark (Copenhagen) and the United States of America (Dulles, Miami and Atlanta). 

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include

  • Provide reliable customer support to allocated key accounts and to the regional Satair sales force with multidisciplinary material and logistics-related topics that, due its political, time-critical and/or technical dimension, require customer-oriented focus, extensive knowledge of the Airbus and Satair organization and commercially sound judgment skills

  • Drive and coordinate with internal business units to improve delivery performance and ensure future process alignment to enhance performance improvements to facilitate customer satisfaction 

  • Responsible for survey management via regional CSIP Material & Logistics Module rollout, communication and co-development of action plan with the proximity teams

  • Analysis and isolation of supply chain problems & safety related matters using the Airbus&39; legacy and Satair systems for root cause elimination with process owners and functional experts   

  • Provision and delivery of support-focused training for Satair customers when required

  • Conduct individual customer visits or accompany Account Directors / Customer Support Directors to customers having a focus on support aspects & customer satisfaction

  • Represent Satair at global industry events when necessary

  • Inform customers and internal stakeholders about applicable policies and contract standards via trainings and roadshows 

  • Maintain relationship with the Airbus Customer Services division including Field Service & Customer Support Directors network and inform them on important initiatives impacting customer satisfaction

This role involves frequent travel for business, once or twice a month, about 20, sometimes with the internal stakeholders to meet customers, and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. 

What do we expect from you?

Equipped with a university degree in Economics, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Supply Chain Management and / or Engineering / Industrial Engineering, with professional experience ideally in the supply chain environment within aviation industry, with an affinity and interest in solving issues in the area of aviation after-sales supply chain logistics, we are looking for a team player with the below skill set and willingness for worldwide business trips: 

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in aviation material supply chain and/or aircraft maintenance planning or airline procurement

  • Experience working with Airbus operators and aircraft production processes is a plus

  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English, other languages desirable

  • Good knowledge of SAP and Google applications. Affinity with modern communication technologies, social media and digital tools.

  • Soft Skills: 

    • Excellent communicator with good negotiation and presentation skills

    • Ability to convince external senior managers in commercially sensitive situations.

    • Customer oriented attitude with an ability to stay diplomatic
