OCC Duty Manager is accountable for managing the optimum performance of daily operations to include on-time performance and outstanding customer service. The OCC Duty Manager is the primary operational decision maker for the current operations date and as such will coordinate the actions all Silver Airway’s team members to achieve established performance goals. This person reports to the Director of OCC.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Monitor all Silver Airways’ flights to completion
- Determine and manage aircraft availability and spare assignments
- Maintain knowledge of crew member status for current and future flight operations and resolve operational issues affecting flight segments, and evaluate overall operational impact of delays and/or cancellations
- Coordinate recovery plans for: delays, aircraft swaps, etc.
- Schedule change notifications to stations
- Input changes into the “Flight Management” system as they occur
- Keep Silver Airways leadership apprised of status and development for tasked flights.
- Serve as a lead subject matter expert advising senior Silver Airways staff on a variety of air transportation operational issues
- Primary operational decision maker
- Process short-notice schedule changes
- Handle high volume of communications to include telephone, SITA, and e-mail
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Dispatchers on Duty as required, providing guidance as needed.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma, College degree
- Minimum five years’ experience in a CFR 121 airline operations department
- FAA Dispatch Certificate
- Excellent communication skills -verbal and written
- Strong computer skills, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
