Job Description:
1. Organisation
Reports to the Head of Assembly Integration and Testing (AIT) and operationally to the Project Manager of the Development of the product/ project(s). During the recurring production phase, the Production Manager is fully responsible for performance and revenues.
2. Accountability
As the Production Manager, you coordinate, monitor and report the throughput, efficiency and way of working of all operational activities in the production phase of the product/ project(s) in such a way that (strategic) objectives are achieved.
3. Main activities
Overarching tasks
Responsible for On Quality, On Cost and On Time delivery of the production of recurring flight models as defined in the contract, including documentation.
Manage the internal multi-disciplinary production team, as well as the key suppliers (in close collaboration with the procurement department).
Initiate and execute cost reduction program and secure continuous improvement.
Implementation of production related changes, plus submittal and support to negotiation of contract changes.
Operational and financial reporting of the production activities.
Ensuring smooth implementation and daily management
Develops and maintains the production plan related to the production (product, structure, planning, processes and procedures, risk, budgets etc.).
Maintenance of the project baseline (budgets, planning, as build/as designed, documentation)
Execute risk management
Resource planning
Implement Internal Change Request (ICR’s)
Support to Product Assurance for the key (production) milestones and in case of escalation
Ensures to have and maintain a motivated and effective team and the necessary resources for the project in alignment with the organization.
Is responsible for the timeline and quality of the project agreements with the Work Package Managers (WPM’s) and other core team members
Update deliverable documents according to the Statement of Work (SOW)
Interfacing with key suppliers (in support of procurement)
Day to day management of the production project team (AIT, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.)
Action follow up and closure
Monitors the progress of the project on time, on cost and on quality and is responsible for maximizing the planned project result by minimizing costs and increasing revenues.
Is responsible for the regular reporting to management and client(s) and for the timely detection of deviations of the project plan by means of progress meetings and/or progress report.
Identifies improvements in the business processes, working methods, costs.
Responsible for the identification and assessment of changes.
Interface with customer

Non conformities , Request for waiver and Customer complaints (escalation only)
IRR&39;s, DRB&39;s (escalation only)
Participation in progress meeting with customer to cover production topics and status.
Drafting, submittal and negotiation of changes
