Position Summary:

The Production Scheduling Manager will lead a team consisting of Scheduling Planners, Material Planners, and Expeditors to meet production goals and requirements. The Production Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring the weekly build plan is tracking to completion and product flows to dock. The position will interface will all levels of Management.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Compiles and records production data from; customer orders, work orders, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
  • Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, and frequency of defects. Checks and verifies results against standard production rates.
  • Clearing difficulties that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Initiates component and assembly orders.
  • Reviews material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies base upon production schedules established by others.
  • Charts production, based on statistics compiled, for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Sorts and distributes work orders or material to team.
  • Utilizes Scheduling Planner(s) to commit to weekly ship and dock numbers.
  • Manages delinquencies through additions to the build plan and ensures their team is pushing the appropriate product.
  • Identifies and administers RCCA as required to prevent future delays
  • Coordinates with program managers to communicate any delays or expedites on product and works to align sales orders as required
  • Refreshes and monitors minimum order quantities, lead times and current yields for economic build rates
  • Reviews BOM’s to add in missing extraneous components to ensure product is available in assembly.
  • Schedules source inspection as required to support shipment of product

Required Experience:

  • 4 or more years’ experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering
  • Advanced Level in Microsoft Excel
  • MS Project experience
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Six Sigma training preferred

Level of Education:

  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or 2-year degree from a technical school combined with production control experience win a manufacturing environment

  • This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful application must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. &39;Green Card Holder&39;), and certain categories of Political Asylees and Refugees.
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $105,000 to $157,400 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2.5X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
