Role and Responsibilities

Join CAEu2019s Civil Aviation team as Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring Officer Lead. With assigned direct reports you will act as the Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring (QACM) team leader and provide a focal point for compliance monitoring oversight and support QACM projects on behalf of the Regional Head.

The purpose of this role is to support our Global framework for a centralized Safety, Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring (SQACM) system to enhance overall levels of Safety and strengthen the quality of our product offering to our customers. You will support the implementation of the Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring program and ensure that the highest standards are attained through a robust system that is actively promoted and meets the defined strategic goals of the Company.

We can offer this hybrid-working role from our Training Centre locations in UK or Europe.

The role we are offering you

  • Manage and continuously improve the regional/local Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring Management Systems, primarily associated with CAEs approvals against the Aircrew Regulation (and Continuing Airworthiness where applicable) in order to minimize corporate risk, maintain regulatory compliance of certification, regulation and industry guidelines, identify specific operational and training risks.
  • Assist the local training centre leadership to ensure enhanced levels of quality assurance, compliance monitoring and continuous improvement QMS & CMS Local /Centre Oversight, Risk Identification & Mitigation, local & Centre coordination, Regulator coordination.
  • Coordinate and execute the approved Global Annual Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring audit program to ensure ongoing compliance with Regulatory and Corporate Standards
  • Assist, where necessary, in managing and maintaining all training and simulator and other regulatory and industry approvals, where applicable, for the assigned area and maintain certification compliance to the highest standards.
  • Act as Postholder or Deputy Postholder, if deemed applicable for an assigned region(s) and be accountable for the continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance and Compliance Management Systems across the regional network covering both simulator and flight training centres (ATO and FTO)

Our ideal candidate

  • Brings experience as a Qualified Quality Auditor. (IOSA Audit Experience desirable but not mandatory)
  • Has knowledge of Quality Management systems, ISO9001, AS9100 and CMMI
  • Is knowledgeable of ICAO, Transport Canada, FAR, CASA, EASA and other NAA regulations (as appropriate to region of assignment) relating to Safety, Quality Assurance, Training and Operations as well as their impact on CAEs Commercial customers and their operating requirements.
  • Has experience in establishing or coordinating a fully functioning QMS and CMS for Training Organisations or Airlines.
  • Has previous experience as a regulator overseeing Airlines and Training Organisations would be an Asset.

What kind of person will succeed in this team?

In this position you must be able to analyse complex Quality Assurance, Compliance, Technical and Operational events and then develop and make sound recommendations that satisfy to the extent possible all stakeholders, including regulators, OEMs, operators, pilots and training organisations.

As an experienced communicator you coordinate with Regulatory Authorities as well as internal and external Stakeholders on Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring matters. You take ownership and initiative working closely with our Head of Regional QA & CM.

You describe yourself as a hands-on and engaged team leader managing the QACM team supporting them in their duties and responsibilities associated with the compliance monitoring oversight programme and identified QACM projects which support the Global SQACM department as a whole.You enjoy leading in the development of Procedures and Work Instructions for the Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring teams to ensure unified global procedures are implemented.
