Job Summary


The Sr. Director of Finance will include accurate forecasting, modeling, cash management, financial planning overseeing internal controls, setting financial targets, monitoring expenditure and project performance, SOX compliance, period close processes and managing tax compliance. Vast experience in production environments and government business-oriented organizations. Skills in sound financial planning coupled with the ability to direct financial assets will assist the organization in implementing effective financial strategies, managing debt, improving revenue, maintaining a healthy financial position. Proven ability to work and perform in a rapidly growing company with strict reporting timetables.


Job Responsibilities


 




  • Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.

  • Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Executive Management, Corporate office, and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections, and other special projects as required).

  • Prepare quarterly and yearly Operations and Capex budgets.

  • Report quarterly financial statements to the Group CFO as well as periodical cash flow and other financial reports.

  • Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.

  • Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain DCAA compliant contract accounting practices.

  • Responsible for the overall management of a financial analysis function (i.e., budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis) for a substantially large/complex project or organizational unit.

  • Forecast budgets, employment levels, and performance metrics for the project or department.

  • Develop project timelines and department objectives in consultation with senior management.

  • Recommend new methods and processes related to the financial analysis function and present to senior management.

  • Responsible for the employment, training, motivation, and discipline of the management team.

  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.



 


Job Requirements:
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial Management with 10+ years required and a minimum of five years of leadership experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Experience working in a company that provides goods or services to the US Government.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DCAA, and DCMA policies and requirements and auditing.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the creation, presentation, and analysis of financial forecasts.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent (US) GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SOX compliance
  • Experience in audit work with the big four accounting firms in the US.
  • Experience in working with local and national banks and financial institutions as well as familiarity with local incentive plans.
  • Experience preparing quarterly and yearly operations and capex budgets.
  • International Experience with working across cultural norms in other countries.
  • Security Clearance (existing or ability to get one).
  • Experience leading contracts. 
  • Experience in a FOCI environment.
  • Merger and acquisition experience is a plus.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
