Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager of Clubs and Lounges will serve as the marketing head for the United Club program, spearheading a visionary marketing strategy that establishes an industry leading customer experience and sets the stage for a benchmark premium airport experience. This role involves a strategic dive into data insights to identify and cater to travelers’ needs, evolving and, in some cases, reinventing our club and lounge environments to be more engaging and appealing. Through thoughtful tests and discovery, the Senior Manager will be dedicated to uncovering innovative ways to deliver unmatched value, incentivizing customers to seek access and fostering a desire to choose United for their travel journeys.

  • Architect and implement sophisticated marketing strategies to amplify the presence and value of the United Club program globally.
  • Champion data-driven marketing by harnessing analytics to drive product innovation and tailor marketing initiatives for maximum impact.
  • Lead the business through critical customer research initiatives that strive to identify the target base, develop segmentation, and support long-term revenue success.
  • Propel the evolution of our Clubs and Lounges by steering innovative product development and strategic partnerships, from conceptualization to launch.
  • Design, conduct, and report on test-and-learn opportunities that support the creation of membership offerings and drive value for United, our customers, and our collaborators.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitor strategies, and other industry approaches to capitalize on opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Develop a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative solutions that align with our brand and elevate customer experience.

This role offers a hybrid schedule, which requires working 50 of the time onsite in Chicago, IL.

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Statistics, Business Administration, or Economics
  • 7+ years of marketing/commercial strategy and/or analytics function
  • 3+ years experience leading a team
  • Experience in a leadership role within marketing
  • Strong background in data analysis and customer insights
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve excellence in execution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage collaborators at all levels
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally based on project requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Masters in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics or Finance
  • Proficiency in key data mining software
  • Leadership experience within aviation, hospitality, or related fields
  • Strong financial competence with proven ability to manage budgets and drive toward revenue goals
  • Polished executive presence, with ability to comfortably deliver presentations to all levels, including C-Suite
