The Boeing’s Enterprise Software organization is seeking a Senior Manager - Strategic Workforce Planning to develop and implement global integrated workforce strategies and processes that support Boeing’s software teams that are revolutionizing software to protect, connect, and explore our world and beyond.

This person will lead a team responsible for developing and implementing standard processes and mechanisms, driven by strong data analytics that drive attraction, development, and engagement of Software Engineers.

Candidates may require 10 travel on an as needed basis.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive deep analysis of both internal employee trends and external market data to create key insights and actionable recommendations for the Software Leadership Team

  • Provide solutions and recommendations by interpreting, analyzing, and integrating applicable internal and external data and metrics

  • Create programs that influence how we identify, develop, and utilize both strategic and critical software engineering skills

  • Proactively help identify potential issues that could impact the Software Engineering organizations staffing and retention efforts and provide risk mitigation recommendations

  • Benchmark key programs and products that drive strategic workforce strategy both internally and externally best align with Software Engineering mission

  • Execute & deliver on the scope of the assigned project/s, working with multi-located & multi-functional teams

  • Manage Risks, Issues & Opportunities

  • Development of product & capabilities roadmaps that align to the broader vision of the origination

  • Foster a culture that supports diversity and inclusion

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, peers, partners across the enterprise

  • Ability to think critically, problem solve and comfortable working through ambiguity as required

  • Ability & willingness to embrace change & ambiguity

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and will not require the selected candidate to relocate.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 10+ years of experience in Workforce strategy or management

  • 10+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

  • 5+ years of experience managing people either directly or indirectly

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Industrial Engineering, Workforce Strategy, or Financial

  • Experience with program scheduling or project management role

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations

Summary pay range: $147,050 - $228,850
