Primary Objective of the Position:
The job holder will be responsible for supporting the efficient, safe, and profitable Fuel & De-Ice Management operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement support:
- Lead large vendor negotiations for all jet fuel
- Present RFP outcomes and business cases to Executive Leadership Team
- Support the negotiation and finalization of Fuel contracts
- Develop strong relationships with current and prospective vendors
- Identify cost saving opportunities within existing supplier relationships
- Create and maintain purchasing tracking models
- Increase amount of spend under management via spend analysis and stakeholder engagement
Industry participation and advocacy:
- Actively participate in Fuel Consortiums and advocate Cargojets needs
- Actively participate in De-icing Consortiums and advocate Carojets needs
- Attend aviation Fuel, ground equipment fuel and de-icing industry events and conferences to represent Cargojet
- Participate in Cargojets Sustainable Aviation Fuels “SAF” strategy and goals
- Manage consortium relationships and analyse value of membership and benefits from such arrangements.
- Tank farm management responsibility and troubleshooting
Operational support:
- Manage monthly fuel nominations with fuel providers
- Partake in Cargojets Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply, and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Responsible for accurate contracted rate entry and management of rates and discounts in the system
- Manage reports and accurate information to enable optimal and efficient operational decisions
- Manage and provide fuel profitability analysis and report.
- Provide support for all Fuel specific operational needs and troubleshooting for all internal and external customers
Continuous improvement:
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to pro-actively identify opportunities for cost savings and continuous improvement
- Work on system enhancement to support decision making through data and reporting

Qualifications:
- A University degree or college diploma
- Five years + procurement experience- Fuel Category preferred
- Previous airport and fuel contract experience
- Strong familiarity with the Aviation fuel category with a drive for operational excellence and Safety
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Effective analytical and presentation skills
- Skilled in Google Office Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and Power BI
