Description:Responsible for all aspects of engineering, operation and maintenance of the Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS). This position manages the efforts of a matrixed team to include: direct reports, matrixed staff, union employees (IUE, IFPTE, ASPEP) and sub-contracted employees. Responsibilities include the leading and managing of staff’s activities, including developing effective strategies, setting priorities, and effectively executing site operations. Ensure tactical and non-tactical environments are available to support baseline development requirements. To meet/exceed site availability and other contractual requirements.

Manage site and operation and maintenance activities; initiating and/or attending technical meetings and reviews to develop site equipment implementation plans for upgrades and integration of new equipment. Manage the development, assembly and installation of test support equipment. Manage the scheduling of tests and the operational utilization of CSEDS. Ensure technically appropriate apportionment of system time for development and training teams and provide prompt resolution of conflicts.

This position works closely with US Navy personnel and keeps the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer and staff fully informed regarding all aspects of security, engineering, operations and maintenance. Further responsibilities include: preparation of cost plans, proposals and estimates for CSEDS and for changes and modifications to the site. Manage the installation of Combat/Weapon Systems, direct site operations, review work underway, monitor daily tasks and maintain 24x7x365 site operations. Interactions with internal and external customers include communication of issues concerning equipment configuration and site performance, coordinate and provide technically oriented tours for LM and Navy VIP visits. In general, this position interacts with and supports all aspects of the baseline development efforts taking place at CSEDS. Provides guidance and technical mentoring to staff, coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance management, reward and recognition. In this challenging role, the candidate will have an opportunity to use innovative approaches that help ensure efficient operation of the CSED Site.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
