In this position, you will initially be dedicated to support a single large complex program and implement all risk functions for that program. Youll report to a Program Director leading the program and coordinate your activities with the corporate and division PMO offices. Your role will be multifaceted and could quickly evolve depending on our needs and your abilities.

Responsibilities:

You will manage and maintain the risk and opportunity posture of a large complex program, including activities to support risk identification, cost impact analysis, schedule risk analysis, response planning, monitoring, reporting, and the data management necessary to complete this work. The successful candidate will be an energetic, highly driven, solution-focused individual that can work well with internal and external partners at all levels and has a comprehensive understanding of the risk management process.  This position is responsible for collaborating, communicating, and working cross-functionally within the program and with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and other support functions to build and maintain strong relationships.  

Must Haves:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, or technical related discipline
  • Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
  • Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations
  • Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
  • Strong analytical background with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
  • Experience performing risk identification, assessment, schedule risk analysis, cost analysis, and mitigation planning
  • Demonstrated experience in using scheduling, risk register, and analytical software applications such as MS Project or Oracle P6, ARM/Riskonnect, Safran Risk, Oracle Crystal Ball, or &64;Risk
  • Experience conducting risk workshops and board meetings
  • Experience in presenting risk information to leadership
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as analytical, planning, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive work relationships across organizational functions and teams
  • Broader experience and knowledge in one or more areas:  scheduling, cost engineering, earned value analysis, value engineering, program management, proposal preparation, enterprise risk management, A&D experience and technical knowledge, and DoD/government contracting
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Skills:

  • Typically 10&43; years of related experience or;
  • Masters in Engineering, Aviation or Management and typically 10&43; years of program management experience
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
  • Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $159,430.15 - $219,216.46. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
