AIBT (Airbus Beluga Transport)  is Airbus’ new airline being launched to operate the A300 Beluga ST fleet for commercial flights.

The 5 Beluga ST operated by Airbus Transport International are replaced by 6 Beluga XL between 2020 and 2023, and will therefore be available for external transport activities (commercial transport of Engines, Helicopters, Satellite components or complete satellites, ISS Components, Containers, Machinery).  Commercial operations started in December 2021.

Airbus is creating the new AIBT Airline to manage and commercialize  these operations.

With a wide range of external missions, the Ground Operations team has a key role in developing these new transport services.

Organisation 

As a member of the AIBT Ground Operations Department, you will directly report to the Head Of Ground Ops.
Series of Trainings are required, ensuring adequate skills and knowledge are continuously assimilated to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Traveling all around the world (positioning through “standard airlines”) will be very frequent - Approx 1 time / week.

Main Responsibilities 

As responsible of Beluga Ground Operations & Loading operations, you will: Coordinate the whole ground support staff deployed for operations and represent AiBT during ground operations (Airport, customers) / Ensure that Health & Safety rules are in place and that they are applied by the whole ground support staff / Be accountable to Handover payload from customer, and check associated DGR / Participate in lashing cargo on pallets, ULDs / Supervise set-up and validate ground support equipment configuration / Load the Beluga and ensure that the aircraft has been loaded and secured in accordance with the relevant documentation / Report to Captains and to Safety Management System / Participate in continuous improvement of the jobholder position and processes (trainings, lessons learnt).

Skills

As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies.

Experience

> 5 years (including operational team leading).

Technical & Language skills

You’ve got experience in the following domains:Oversized cargo air transport / ULD Build-up, mechanical systems installation-removal / Handling and Use of logistics devices: crane; forklift… / Ramp supervisor.

Tools to be used: Google-Suite.

English speaking, reading and writing: is mandatory (C1 equivalent).

Mindset & soft skills

Ground & Flight safety oriented / Leadership and Team work abilities / Will to travel extensively with flexibility, accept short notice / Will to work with people from different cultures / Ability to cope with several tasks in the same time / Ability to work according to extended schedule or under time pressure / Ability to propose, study, provide new technical or logistical solutions in the frame of operations increase / Strong communication skills  / Autonomy & agility to adapt / Authorized to leave national territory
