SUMMARY:

Responsible for processing parts through clean line, etch and passivation, electropolish, and Kolene in accordance with customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Processes parts through electropolish, passivation, and etch.
  • Tests and monitors chemical processing tanks to ensure correct concentrations.
  • Maintains lot integrity.
  • Ensures paperwork is properly done.
  • Helps other areas as needed and performs other duties as required.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Must comply with all applicable safety requirements, policies, and procedures, while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
  • Must participate in required training, medical monitoring, safety, and health evaluations and programs.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas of facility.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment while working in Etch area, face shield, apron, gloves, designated boots.
  • Perform all physical functions of position, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, walking, twisting, kneeling, turning, and lifting of materials up to 25 lbs. continuously.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Must report any work-related injury or illness immediately to your direct supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Meet individual productivity requirements.
  • Meet internal quality requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers.
  • Comply with company and departmental policies and procedures, including company’s attendance policy.

NORMAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work required with toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Environmental conditions encountered frequently are working near or with hazardous waste. May be required to take hazardous waste training.
  • Requires continuous work in areas with non-weather-related wet or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles.
  • Occasional walking, reaching above shoulder level, and talking required.
  • Frequent stooping or squatting, hearing, pushing, or pulling required.
  • Continuous standing, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching below shoulder level required.
  • Near vision requirement is Jaeger J1 for both eyes, at no less than 12 inches; or equivalent. Color perception is required each year; Standard used: Ishihara-Applicant shall differentiate and distinguish contrast in 20 of 24 test plates (Minimum). Corrected or uncorrected.
  • Typical noise required for the work environment of this job is Loud Noise. (Appropriate ear protection is required.)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Able to write simple correspondence.
  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, turn, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, kneel, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
