Job Title: IT Versatile Technologist

Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly
  • Expertise in analyzing and repairing large-scale distributed systems; creating volumes and assigning them to servers; and remote replication
  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models (windows Update)
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Maintain smooth operation of Advanced and Specialized Information System Hardware and Software.
  • Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of several complex and specialized information systems.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of information systems hardware/software, and computer interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience operating and troubleshooting information systems.
  • Experience designing, developing, building, testing and maintaining network and computing infrastructure
  • Experience identifying systems anomalies and troubleshooting (network/server infrastructure)
  • Experience with:
    • Integrated Maintenance Data System
    • Windows Server and Desktop versions.
    • Wide Area (WAN) and Local Area (LAN) networking
    • Group policy design, testing and implementation
    • VMWARE – VCenter Virtualization
    • EPO McAfee server
    • Whatsup Gold monitoring tool
    • Server Administrator Specialize in maintaining servers, web services and operating system of the servers
    • Basic knowledge of scripting

Basic Requirements:

  • DoD Secret clearance (Able to obtain post start)
  • Must be capable of obtaining or currently hold an IAT Level 2 Security Certification (Security +, CySA+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP) OR IAT DoD level 3 (CASP, CCNP-Security, CISA, CISSP,GCED, GCIH) within 6 months of employment.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance or performing quality reviews of technical publications or training documents.

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Al-Udeid, Qatar. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Qatar law. Employment is subject to the candidates ability to satisfy all Qatar labor and immigration formalities.

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
