Work with the latest technologies and techniques in the aviation industry to source materials, manage inventory, and coordinate logistics. You’ll ensure we have what we need to service our customers.

As a Detail Inspector, you’ll have the responsibility of interfacing with customers to resolve day-to-day quality concerns, obtain masking approvals, clarifying production questions, and maintaining quality records.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Completes all necessary inspections of product by utilizing inspection equipment, inspection techniques, specifications, blue prints, and customer purchase order.
  • Read and understand material specifications and be knowledgeable of sampling requirements per quality procedures.
  • Interface with customers to resolve day-to-day quality concerns, obtain masking approvals and clarify production questions. 
  • Work with production team and quality team to resolve or eliminate quality issues.
  • Communicate defective material to team lead, production coordinator, and/or Quality Manager.
    Participate in customer and regulatory audits as necessary.
  • Support the QMS through internal auditing functions as needed.
  • Perform inspection duties for incoming and outgoing materials as required.
  • Promote and drive “Zero Defects” mentality with the organization.
  • Segregate defective material awaiting review and disposition.
  • Ensure inspection equipment is functional and calibrated.
  • Maintains part integrity throughout entire process.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department team lead.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

     

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in chemical processing, inspection, blueprint reading, and specification reading. 
  • Understanding and utilization of ASNE Y14.5 geometric dimension and tolerance principles.
  • Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience. Working in new process development is a plus. 
  • NADCAP compliance internal auditing is a plus. AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills required for working directly with customers and with the Customer Service team.
  • Proficiency and knowledge in MS Office tools and ERP systems is required.
  • Ability to verify all processes have been performed correctly per drawing/work instructions and specification requirements.
  • Ability to resolve discrepancies in work instructions and work constructively in cross functional roles.
  • Must be fluent in English
