Job overview and responsibilities

  • Define and build overall data design and modeling across all of the organizations data systems
  • Data management across multiple data systems: data governance, data mastering, meta-data management, data definitions, symantec-layer design, data taxonomies and ontologies
  • Architecting and delivering highly-scalable and flexible, cost-effective enterprise data solutions
  • Anticipate future technology requirements and communicate those to the leadership and multi-functional teams
  • Understand the current state of the organization-wide architecture
  • Identify key business drivers and technology capabilities required to achieve optimal state
  • Coordinate with collaborator teams and own the conversation to define use cases, goals, objectives, and architecture to support the business needs
  • Build relationships with senior leadership
  • Engage and evangelize recommendations to senior leadership teams

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a data architect role including enterprise data architecture models, systems integration, data systems, cloud technology and planning/completing strategic roadmaps
  • Experience in designing and building applications using AWS (or Azure or GCP) cloud architecture & services and support of highly available and resilient multi-region platforms
  • Experience in common architecture frameworks such as Microservices, API management including OAuth and Event-driven architecture
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Masters degree
