| Job Desc: |
California Shock Trauma Air Rescue (CALSTAR) is a nonprofit regional air ambulance service. Our mission is to save lives, reduce disability and speed recovery for victims of trauma and illness. CALSTAR has an immediate opening for a full time: REGIONAL DIRECTOR (Sierra Foothills Region, CA) The Regional Director is the general manager of more than one operational base supporting a region. This position is responsible for all activities of the respective programs within that region, including Business Development, Operational Management, and Fiscal Performance. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The primary functions of this position are business development and outreach with requesting agencies and coordination with EMS Agencies, Hospitals, Fire and Law Enforcement agencies and general public relations. The Region/Regional Director is responsible for all logistical issues and local fund raising efforts and other duties as prescribed. The Region/Regional Director is responsible for general supervision, direction, control and financial viability of the flight program/s and of all assigned employees, to direct their duties and compensation, and even discharge in conjunction with Human Resources and in accordance with company policies, except where such matters are prescribed by the COO or President/CEO.
Job Duties: - Base business development Marketing and Community Outreach Liaison with Hospitals, EMS Agencies & First Responders Attend County EMS and related meetings Oversee In-Service-Training Program Approve & attend PR functions & media events Market Membership Program Base Fund Raising & Grant Writing
- Base Management Leader, motivator, morale builder Delegate appropriately to base management & staff Oversee all employee issues (HR) Ensure timely submission of employee reviews Ensure communications through memos and all other means with staff Oversee duty schedules of base personnel Mediate between employees Review and approve employee time cards/documentation - Corporate Management - Base Safety - Base Logistics CALSTAR offers excellent environment, lucrative benefit package, Medical, Dental and Vision, Profit Sharing Plan, and Life Insurance.

| Requirements: |
1. Bachelor‘s Degree, Master‘s Degree preferred.2. 5 years Experience in EMS, Air Ambulance or Critical Care Transport Operations or equivalent.3. Previous progressive management and/or entrepreneurial experience required. 4. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. 5. This position requires a working knowledge of Budgets and Financial Statements. |
