We offer a dynamic and challenging atmosphere for the A&P Mechanic who wants to take their career to the next level!
REACH Air Medical Services has recently expanded services in the Greater Palm Springs area and is currently seeking a Helicopter Mechanic to join the REACH Team in Thermal, CA! The ideal candidate will be a seasoned helicopter mechanic who is able work independently and resourcefully without supervision, as well as provide superior customer service.
The field base mechanic will be responsible for the daily airworthiness and safety of the in-service aircraft as well as providing additional service needs 24/7 to ensure safe and efficient high-quality patient transport.
Candidates must currently meet the following criteria to be considered for this opportunity.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
- Minimum 3-5 years current A&P mechanic experience performing helicopter maintenance required.
- Bell 407 or equivalent helicopter aircraft maintenance experience highly desired.
- Experience working under CFR Parts 135 and 145 mechanic ratings preferred.
- Inspection Authorization and/or FCC License a plus.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks independently and with no supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting ability on airframe and engine, including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic.
- Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Must hold a valid Drivers License in the State where employed and proof of liability insurance.
- Required to carry a pager to provide uncontrollable standby 24/7 on an as-needed basis with a one hour response time.
- Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime if needed.
- Excellent customer focus communication skills and work ethic.
