International Preparedness Associates, Inc. (IPA) is a subcontractor to Northrop Grumman on prime contract to the U.S. Government‘s Counter Narco- Terrorism Technology Program (CNTPO) Operations and Training program. Specifically IPA is responsible for planning, training, and execution of U.S. Special Operations and DEA operational missions and the conduct of in-country training of student pilots to fly the Mi-17 rotary wing aircraft in support of the Ministry of Interior (MoI)-CN Air Squadron. IPA also provides orientation and mission training for CSTC-A Minister of Defense (MoD) and MoI mentors. IPA‘s instructor pilots provide hands on training in the configuring of the aircraft for missions and provide coordination of training missions with CSTC-A officials. Our instructor pilots are responsible for leading, training and advising student pilots progressively to full mission qualification over all country unique terrain conditions and weather conditions. The primary operating location for this effort is Kabul Afghanistan International Airport (KAIA) APO, AE 09354; Other locations include, but are not limited to, Kandahar Air Field (KAF) and other Forward Operation Locations (FOLs).
Functions:- IPs must be a FAA CFI or graduate from a Military instructor pilot course.
- Pilots should have recent military or TIER I or TEIR II skill set capability or background.
- The IP‘s will be required to perform to the standards put forth by the Senior Instructor Pilots (SIP(s)) to attain FMQ in the allotted 25-hour flight time.
- IP‘s will be responsible for selecting or otherwise be issued additional duties such as performing internal training, planning, briefing as the SIP(s) deem necessary in support of operations.
- All IP‘s will be expected to maintain FMQ standards through the contract.

IPA is seeking qualified combat pilots with the following qualifications:- Minimum 2500 flight hours
- PIC lead status
- Recent combat experience. Recent combat experience is defined as having flown combat missions within the past year. Combat missions include air support; insertion and extraction; special operations
- Tier One or Tier Two experience is preferred.
- Mi -17 Helicopter experience preferred but transition training provided for candidates that otherwise meet position requirements
- Candidates should display initiative, be able to adapt to change, follow direction and display a team attitude
- Candidates must be instructor pilots per the IP guidelines below
- NVG Qualified
Pilots may also be required to travel to remote locations to support resolution of unscheduled aircraft readiness issues. The typical workweek is Saturday through Thursday eight (8) hours per day for a normal 48 hour work-week. Pilots may be required to provide labor hours in excess of 48 hours per workweek to include holiday and weekends, as well as during irregular times and shifts based upon operations and exercises. Duty hours/shifts are arranged to support mission requirements and operational readiness rate and utilize a flexible work schedule. |
