Overview: • This occupation requires the hand and machine burring and finishing or extrusions, spar caps and milled skin panels by the removing of excess or oversized material, burrs, sharp edges and cracks. Qualifications: • The successful candidate will typically have a High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience.
Requirements:
Responsibilities:• Performs burring and/or finishing operations on spar caps and milled skin panels by referring to discrepancy reports, shop orders, blueprints and other instructions as to the location and amount of material to be removed. • Checks dimensions, finish and nature of part to determine method to be applied in correcting discrepancies and to obtain the proper finish by filing, burnishing, cutting or other accepted and approved methods of burring. • Exercises caution to prevent abnormal alteration. Assist in positioning and loading parts on machinery. • Assist, if directed, in carrying cutting tools to and from the cutter grinding crib and/or cutter kitting cribs as required.• Getting department supplies.• Performs rework of the same level of difficulty as other work described herein.• Performs duties incidental to the accomplishment of the assigned task. • Each employee will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and housekeeping in his work area as directed as well as assuring the accuracy of their work.
