General:
Hillsboro Aviation is looking for a professional helicopter pilot with proven management and leadership skills to join our team as our Chief Pilot. We are a 28 year-old well established and growing company located in the Portland, Oregon area.
Hillsboro Aviation is seeking a Part 135 Chief Pilot for our Contract and Charter Department which operates 14 turbine aircraft including Bell 205A1++, Bell 206 Series and C90 King Airs. Training, supervision in the field and recordkeeping for the staff are the primary responsibilities. Hillsboro Aviation expects the candidate to maintain proficiency in fire, seismic, and other vertical reference utility operations on all types of helicopters we operate. The position is primarily based out of the Portland area office (Portland,Oregon). It will require scheduled travel to oversee national operations as well as a relief pilot function in the field during the summer season.

FAA issued Commercial Pilot’s license with Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating; an FAA Multiengine Airplane is a plus Meet the FAA requirements to hold the Part 135 title of Chief Pilot Seismic, Fire, and Utility background experience Knowledgeable in Part 135 operation/previous Chief Pilot experience a plus Leadership skills for pilot staff Good organizational skills Excellent recordkeeping skills Good Word, Excel and Access computer skills Must be legal to work in the US and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and be capable of climbing on top of the aircraft to perform inspections and various job duties.
