ATAC is currently searching for experienced Aircraft Mechanics to work out of our Oxnard, CA (Ventura County location.) Only candidates in CA need apply or candidates who are willing to relocate on their own.
Position Description
Report directly to the Production Supervisor, the Aircraft Mechanic is a key team member whose duties will include performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting aircraft mounted systems, perform launch and recovery flight line functions, DEPOT level inspections and repairs as well as programmatic collateral duties as assigned. This position will require a professional who is technically strong, processes good organizational and critical troubleshooting skills.
Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
Conduct Flight Line launch and recover operations on the A-4 Skyhawk, F-21 Kfir and MK-58 Hawker Hunter tactical military aircraft.Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft; airframe, power plant and electrical systems.Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems as required.Document maintenance actions in company computerized maintenance tracking program.Manage collateral duties as assigned.

ATAC does not pay a relocation fee for this position; only accepting local candidates.

Minimum Qualifications
Tactical Aircraft maintenance upkeep experience.Minimum of 2 years of aviation maintenance experience and/or training.Minimum of 2 years progression of responsibilities and performance.FAA Airframes and Power Plant qualification required for key leadership positions.U.S. Citizenship required.
Other Requirements
FAA Airframes and Power Plant qualification strong plus.Avionics troubleshooting and repair experience strong plus.Sheet metal experience strong plus.Solid leadership and team building potential.Ability to work with all levels of management in a team environment.Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines working as a team or independently.Strong interpersonal skills.Travel approximately 25%. |
